In the line of work that Hamza Andreas Tzortzis is involved in, there is a greater level of responsibility and a need for transparency and accountability. This page aims to clarify contentious issues, apologise for any mistakes and clear any confusion. This approach in publicly announcing mistakes and errors is a key Islamic value and ethic, as human beings are not perfect but they must strive for excellence (known as ihsan in the Islamic tradition) and integrity. This page also aims to respond to the unfortunate distortions and misrepresentations in the media.

Love
Love for humanity what you love for yourself. 1
Community
The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind.” 2
Tolerance
People, We created you all from a single man and a single woman, and made you into races and tribes so that you may get to know one another. 3
Forbearance
And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that deed which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity will become as though he were a devoted friend.4
The beautiful teaching of this verse is that in the original Arabic the word ‘repel’ is not followed by a direct object. This implies that we must repel anything by that which is better. The scholars have said that this means that we must respond to anything by that which is more virtuous and more beautiful. Let us become people of virtue and people of beauty.
Fairness
O You who believe! Be upholders of justice, bearing witness for God alone, even against yourselves or your parents and relatives. Whether they are rich or poor, God is well able to look after them. Do not follow your own desires and deviate from the truth. If you twist or turn away, God is aware of what you do.5
